Special Tribute to PFINDER's 140th Anniversary

The year 2024 marked the 140th anniversary of PFINDER’s founding. What began in 1884 has evolved over many generations into an internationally active company that remains closely tied to its home base in Böblingen to this day.

The two managing directors of PFINDER KG have now received special recognition for this long corporate history: Ms. Oker, managing director of the Böblingen District Chamber of the Stuttgart Region Chamber of Industry and Commerce personally presented them with a certificate of honor marking the company’s 140th anniversary.

The fact that the 140th anniversary is being honored in this way is by no means a given. Typically, the IHK honors companies on traditional anniversaries such as their 25th, 50th, 100th, or 125th years in business. However, following an earlier visit by IHK President Andreas Weeber to PFINDER, the idea arose to also appropriately honor the company’s unique 140-year history.

Closely Tied to Böblingen and the Region

For PFINDER, the award also symbolizes its close ties to Böblingen as a business hub. Much has changed since the company was founded in 1884—but its connection to the region has remained strong.

Regular dialogue with the IHK, the City of Böblingen, the District Administration Office, and other representatives from the business community and the region is of great importance in this regard. Together, they address issues that affect both companies and the local community—ranging from economic conditions to skilled workers and training, all the way to the region’s future development.

The certificate of honor is therefore not only a look back at more than 140 years of company history, but also a recognition of continuity, entrepreneurial commitment, and the company’s long-standing roots in the community.
